This website is a perfect example of a simple yet effective organization's informational site. It is wonderfully simple while getting all the pertinent information on this not-for-profit organization out into the public's eye.
It's purpose was to enable the general public to find out about this Maine event, to provide directions to the festival and to keep their fairgoers up to the minute with current schedule information.
For most of the year this site consists of a single page with some background information about the organization and it's festival. As the time drew near for their annual event, a second page was implemented listing their schedule and speakers, directions and any other information deemed necessary.
The one page design had hyperlinks to various sections within the page. The mint leaf borders and other navigational graphics were created by Olvaron to give them their own branded look.
The site's information was taken from their brochure, poster and flier. The cover page and a second, easily editable page for presenting the particulars of each year's festival.
It demonstrates how one does not need to create new content to get their information online. It is an excellent example of the kind of simple website Olvaron can design to get a company's brochure on the web.
